Shop drawings turn the design into cut, pack and match instructions. Without marks, site matching is slow and mirrored pieces go on the wrong hand. The packing list should match the marks; over-length pieces change transport.
Changes must stop before cutting; pieces already cut rarely follow a new drawing. Erectors should follow the mark drawing, not memory or length.

If a piece is missing, stop that bay; do not borrow from the next bay. Extras need a written change.
Write the approval path in the inquiry or order. No single mark system is set as the only shop standard.
