Steel Industrial Workshop with Crane-Ready Portal Frame

Steel Structure Factory, Warehouse & Workshop

A plant hall planned by span, bay, crane capacity and process aisles, not by locking a price before the loads exist.

A workshop must serve machines and people. A portal frame closes a wide hall quickly, but crane beams, surge and bracing follow the process file, not a “usual span”. If equipment pits clash with columns, move the grid in the scheme.

Send span, length, eave height, crane capacity and rail height, doors and daylight. Painting, welding or dust should be stated so the reply is not written as a dry hall.

Steel Industrial Workshop with Crane-Ready Portal Frame

Cut only after shop-drawing approval. Erection usually forms a stable bay before purlins and cladding. Temporary works follow the erection plan.

No universal steel weight or programme is quoted here. Attach a process plan or equipment list and the local code.

Tiankai Southeast fabricates marked members from approved drawings and supports erection by mark number. Sizes, loads and delivery follow the confirmed design file and contract; this page does not turn uncalculated tonnage, thickness or time into a promise.

  • State crane and aisles first
  • Keep columns off equipment pits
  • Erect a stable bay first

FAQ

  • What should we send with an inquiry?

Please include project location and use, building size or span, drawings (PDF/DWG), steel grade and coating, quantity or area, target delivery and destination port. Fuller data speeds quotation and scheduling. If drawings are not ready, send size and loads first; we will list what else is needed.

  • Which steel grades and codes do you follow?

Common carbon grades can be specified (for example Q235, Q355 or an agreed equivalent). Welding, holes, geometry and coating follow the contract drawings and the destination code. For export, state the required standard in the inquiry (GB, EN, ASTM, etc.) so material and inspection can match.

  • Do you support site erection?

Our core work is shop fabrication and delivery. We can supply erection drawings, piece marks and remote technical support. If you need a supervisor or erection assistance, state the programme and site conditions in the inquiry; we will assess it per project.

  • Who is responsible for foundations and embedments?

The steel frame is usually fabricated in the plant and erected on site. Foundations, concrete and embedments are typically done by a local civil contractor. We can issue base-plate sizes, anchor layouts and embedment notes. The contract scope defines the interface.

  • How are wind and snow loads decided?

Wind and snow loads follow the project location, the local code and the owner design brief. There is no single default number. Please provide site, basic wind pressure, snow load, seismic data and roof live load. A first estimate can use the stated building use; fabrication follows approved drawings only.
