Photovoltaic Canopy and Support Steel

Steel Space Frame Structures

A carport or roof support sized by module, tilt, grid and foundations—not by treating a rain canopy as a PV frame.

A PV canopy must clear cars, hold the tilt and leave access. The grid avoids bays and lanes yet carries the array; a rain-canopy span is not enough. Foundations and cable trays belong in the first scheme.

Send stall count or plan, clear height, module size and tilt, and wind or snow. Say single or double pitch and whether access is needed. Without module data only the system type can be discussed.

Photovoltaic Canopy and Support Steel

Shop members are erected on site. Outdoor coating follows exposure; the schedule names the system. Unpublished yield or support tonnage is omitted.

Attach the site plan and module data. Electrical work is not assumed in the steel price.

Tiankai Southeast fabricates marked members from approved drawings and supports erection by mark number. Sizes, loads and delivery follow the confirmed design file and contract; this page does not turn uncalculated tonnage, thickness or time into a promise.

  • Fix stalls, clearance and tilt
  • Raise foundation and tray interfaces
  • Do not promise uncalculated yield

FAQ

  • Who is responsible for foundations and embedments?

The steel frame is usually fabricated in the plant and erected on site. Foundations, concrete and embedments are typically done by a local civil contractor. We can issue base-plate sizes, anchor layouts and embedment notes. The contract scope defines the interface.

  • How are wind and snow loads decided?

Wind and snow loads follow the project location, the local code and the owner design brief. There is no single default number. Please provide site, basic wind pressure, snow load, seismic data and roof live load. A first estimate can use the stated building use; fabrication follows approved drawings only.

  • Can the building be expanded later?

Expansion is easier if bay spacing, gable conditions, crane or mezzanine loads are reserved in the first scheme. Please say whether a future extension, crane or mezzanine is planned. A building without reserves can still be modified, but foundations and existing members must be rechecked.

  • Which steel grades and codes do you follow?

Common carbon grades can be specified (for example Q235, Q355 or an agreed equivalent). Welding, holes, geometry and coating follow the contract drawings and the destination code. For export, state the required standard in the inquiry (GB, EN, ASTM, etc.) so material and inspection can match.
